What happens when a balloon sculptor (one of those guys that twists latex balloons into unusual shapes) meets up with a hot-air balloon pilot (someone that prefers to use balloons for flight)? We end up with the first ever twisted latex sculpture able to carry a pilot.

John Ninomiya, a balloon pilot, and Larry Moss, a balloon artist, each with a huge list of credits in their fields, have joined together in planning a spectacle never before attempted. John will pilot a massive balloon sculpture. The original sculpture design was a 100 foot long dragon to be inflated with helium. John was to be carried in a harness attached to the dragon's claws. As this project evolved, the design changed to reflect the location of the launch. Currently, the project involves a 100 foot diameter flying octopus, with John riding atop it's body.

While this particular project has never been attempted, we have each worked for years building up to bigger and more interesting projects. Look around the site, learn more about the plans, and check out some of what we've done in the past. We're currently looking for sponsors to help make this happen.

If you'd like us to take on a project like this at your venue, have an interest in being a sponsor, or just have questions about the project, we'd love to hear from you.
