A 100 foot flying balloon sculpture will be seen from great distances. Aside from great visibility from the ground while it's in the air, we will invite the public and the media to watch the construction of the sculpture. Where possible, members of the community will be invited to take part. Sponsorship of this is certainly an opportunity for great exposure for any business.

The total cost of this project is expected to be $100,000. We're looking for a corporation interested in backing the whole project or several companies or individuals to contribute at a lesser degree.

What your sponsorship gets you

  • We will customize the sculpture to best represent the needs of the major sponsor or sponsors.

Would you like to see your company mascot constructed out of balloons and flying through the sky over some big festival? Plans for a dragon and octopus have already been created, but the building plans are far from complete. We've worked out the safety issues and the logistics of making it fly. The overall shape can change to suit your needs.

  • All promotional materials put out regarding this project will contain the names of the sponsors.

You can see from the history section of the site that we've done some high profile events. We intend to do this in a public fashion and allow others to follow along. You can be sure that we'll do what we can to promote the event as well as the sponsors that help to make this happen.

  • Signage at the event will list sponsors.

Thousands of people attend large festivals. You can have your name in front of all of those people that watch the three days of sculpture construction and the actual launch of the flying creation.

  • Exposure on the world wide web

This web site will grow as things develop and all contributors to the project will be listed on this web site (along with necessary links) before, during and after it takes place. Due to media exposure from other events, John and Larry have both had huge numbers of visitors to their sites. We expect to see the same kinds of numbers looking at the dragon project as it evolves. (We can't make promises regarding numbers just yet since this is new, but we know that BalloonHQ.com, a site that Larry helps run, serves an average of 28,000 pages per day.)

  • Use of photo and video footage

We will be happy to make arrangements for you to use photo and video footage from this spectacle.

  • Other ideas

We're just a couple of guys with a desire to do something unusual. We want to make this happen and are therefore open to your ideas and suggestions to make this worth your investment. Maybe you'd like a booth at the event to sell your products. Perhaps your company would like to sponsor a class for employees in balloon art and have class members participate in the sculpture. Let us know what you'd like to do with us!
